Bulgarian delegation is visiting the biggest USA IT companies
Among the companies which Bulgarian government delegation will visit are CISCO Systems, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, IBM, ESRI, Infinera Corporation, Oracle Corporation, ICT Logistics, MegaTech Inc. The delegation is leaded by Plamen Vachkov, chairman of Bulgarian ICT Agency and also several deputy ministers are involved. The visit started on 26 January and will end on 8 February and is under invitation of U.S. Trade and Development Agency. The delegation has meetings also with many USA administrations as Budget and Management Services, where the efficiency in coordination and governance of ICT projects will be discussed, National Institute of Standards and Technology, where the information security and interoperability standards will be discussed. The delegation will be acquainted with the emergency call system in New York. Bulgarian delegation also will present on 30 January the ICT projects before American industry representatives.

Bulgaria and Mongolia to collaborate in ICT and post services itForum
Bulgarian government ratified the agreement for collaboration between Bulgaria and Mongolia in ICT and post services, signed on 29 August, 2007. Under it two countries will exchange information and documentation, software, science and technology expertise; will maintain bilateral consultations, sending experts and will create working groups for providing ICT services. Two countries also will provide each other assistance in R&D activities. The agreement also envisages development of joined projects in ICT policy, strategy and programs for building information society. They also will help each other in

Global-C.orG, new site for business development Saga Technology
The new site will offer information about programs for non-returnable business and NGOs funding in Bulgaria, current projects and how one could participate in them, the entire set of documentation for applying for such projects as well as guidelines. Other useful business information will be about bank credits and programs, already implemented projects and much more. The site clients can also publish news, funding programs, projects, credits and already done projects. The e-newsletter is also available free.

PMP already in Bulgarian language Saga Technology
Bulgarian company ITCE offers the international recognized certificate Project Management Professional (PMP). ITCE became PMI (PMI Registered Education Provider ? R.E.P.) for Bulgaria and offers the training in Bulgarian language. The ITCE instructors underwent hard procedures of evaluating their professional qualities and experience and the result is that now the company provides the full range of Project Management trainings as Scope Management, Cost & Scheduling, Risk Management, Quality Management and Human Resource Management. The first PMI training started on 25 January and is for prestigious certificate PMP (Project Management Professional).

6th round of PC Magazine BG programming contest itForum
Under the 6 year tradition the New Year round of PC Magazine Bulgaria programming contest is organized under the aegis of Bulgarian Software Association BASCOM. The winners will be awarded on 29 January during the traditional New Year party of the association. The competition was hard. Many yang programmers competed for awards of 1500, 1000 and 500 BGN. General sponsor of the round was Telerik, golden sponsor ? Nemetschek and silver sponsor ? Dreamix. The programming tournament is the expression of BASCOM?s priority to support the education in computer technologies and informatics in Bulgaria. It gives a chance to check in practice the capabilities of the Bulgarian programmers.

Lenovo presented new products in Bulgaria itForum
Two new offers for Bulgarian market were presented last week ? ThinkStation S10 and ThinkStation D10. The graphical workstations for power users were developed entirely by Lenovo, not IBM. They are for professional users in 2D/3D modeling, design, animation, videoprocesing, etc. ?They are not just the next extension of the product line ThinkCenter пя?, said Radoslav Vodenicharov, general manager of Lenovo Bulgaria. He announced also the new line notebooks which the company launched on 3 January. It consist three products but they will be available only on the markets of 14 countries among which Bulgaria is not included.

Netgear will present NAS solutions in Bulgaria Saga Technology 
In the first quarter of the year Netgear will present the ReadyNas storage line of products, which will be offer on Bulgarian market by the distributor Solyton. The company is already two years on Bulgarian market and its result in 2007 was two times bgger sales comparing with 2006. The company said they are in top 3 networking companies in Bulgaria and do not expect the slow down in the growth this year. The plans for 2008 also includes Netgear web site in Bulgarian language as well as development of e-channels for sales.

Bulgarian group has stung millions USA citizens Saga Technology
Computer professional and policeman were involved in the group drown out bank accounts of USA citizens. The group was defeated by the police service in Bulgarian town Varna with the support of Secret Services. The police has detected thefts for around 400 000 USD, but they suppose that the stolen money are 10 times more. The boss and brain of the gang is Issa Ahmed-Mehmed ? Bulgarian citizen with Turkish origin. The police has received first signal 6 months ago end has informed Secrete Services. During the investigation was revealed the participation of Bulgarian spec policeman. The gang has developed 3 ways for drawing money. First, established in 2006 includes taking out small amounts of 20 USD, transferring to account of virtual trade company. Then the money has been transferred to accounts of Bulgarians leaving in USA. They have taken money out and sent to Bulgarian persons mainly via Western Union. The second way has involved holes in law in different States and the goal was bigger amounts of about 100,000 USD to be drown out. The third scheme should start working in February this year and involves establishment and licensing of detective agency in USA, which will give access to national level databases. The gang is arrested and will be prosecuted.
